Three Truths and a Lie with Meg Mims


Award-winning author and artist Meg Mims is a late bloomer, first published in 1997 in a children's magazine. See if you can figure out her fib :)


Meg is not very good at math, but loves Soduku puzzles.
Meg loves flowers, both annuals and perennials. 

Meg works in watercolor, acrylic and pen/ink media.
Meg grows vegetables, from tomatoes to watermelon and pumpkins

    The reason I think # 1 is the fib is because I don't believe you're poor in math. But if you were, I don't believe you'd admit it. Ha.

    I will say this... I was traveling all day today and couldn't answer till now. SORRY about that! And another thing -- why do we have that CAPTCHA code thingie? It drove me BONKERS.

    Okay. Here's the real scoop (mmm, mint chocolate chip) from the Caffeinated Chihuaha!

    #1 - I AM POOR at math. I used to be OFF the chart right-brained, so badly, that when I was a substitute teacher in 4th/5th grades, I had to get the smartest kid to figure out the answer to the math problems - and I HAD THE ANSWERS IN THE teacher's book! I had no clue how they came by those answers. I'm not ashamed to admit it. I stuck to 1st/2nd/3rd grade whenever possible, LOL. So my sister (and my daughter) told me to try Sudoku for logic. It's helped. SOME. Not as much as I hoped, though. ;-D

    #2 - LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE flowers. Sorry, Kelly!

    #3 - DUH. This was too obvious as I have some artwork on my website.

    #4 - I clearly AM NOT a farmer. Planted beans (a whole bunch) once. Got two bean pods. Tomato plants died. I couldn't grow a pumpkin from a seed if you paid me. Pitiful.

    Hope you had fun! Patty and Jennifer, I'll send you a copy of Santa Paws (plz review, plz?) so send me your addies. Sorry, Jeff. No chocolate or brownies for being nice. Thanks, though! ;-D
