4.      I am not a quiet person.

Three Truths and a Lie with JF Jenkins

What's there to say about me? I live in Minnesota, I read a lot of books, play a lot of games, and write any chance I get. I have a son, two fur babies, and a husband. My day job is serving coffee to all of the caffeine addicts.

My eyes are multiple colors.

My family heritage ties me back to at least two different classic literature authors, so writing is obviously in my blood!

I am the only person in my family who did not pursue a medical related job.

My husband and I had a chance meeting of fate when we were younger (12ish) by vacationing in the same location while our parents were at the same conference.

Three Truths and a Lie with Myrna Parks

Like most writers of fiction, I can be quiet good at deception. For those who respond to my three truths and a lie, I promise to send you my favorite recipe for southern pecan pie. To the first person who guesses correctly, I will send you a package of fresh pecans processed by Kentucky Nut Corporation; a company owned and operated by a member of my church. I might even throw in a jar of their special chocolate-dipped pecans, which I warn you, can easily lead to an addiction.

When I was a child, I had two reoccurring dreams: I would someday swim the English Channel and that I could fly as free as a bird. You might possibly learn a great deal about a person by their dreams, their jobs and their hobbies. Happy Guessing!

  1. I once ran a successful catering service from my converted garage.
  2. One of my easiest jobs was delivering books on a bookmobile.
  3. I have enjoyed hang-gliding over the Atlantic Ocean.
  4. Skydiving is one of my favorite hobbies.

Desperate to prove to her rich, patronizing relatives she can make a name for herself as a writer, Bethany Ashton returns to Sacramento with a manuscript nestled inside her briefcase and a tight-lipped smile of determination on her peach-tinted lips. Hoping to enlist the aid of successful writer and speaker, Adrian Adams, to publish her first novel, Beth attends an international writer’s conference where the author is scheduled to speak. However, when she discovers her registration isn’t valid and all the sessions are full, she impulsively fibs and tells the matron in charge that she is married to one of the seminar lecturers, the handsome man she sat next to on the plane. It gets her through security and into restricted areas.

Carter Phillips loves to laugh at the eccentricities of others. On his flight to California, when he encounters an aspiring young author who unwittingly pulls him into a make-believe marriage that offers all of the pitfalls of matrimony but none of the perks, Carter finds himself embroiled in a dilemma that is no laughing matter. Especially when he falls in love with his pretend wife.

Two people bound together by a set of circumstances that produces more fabrications than a crooked politician on the trail to reelection, Truth and Circumstances is a humorous tale of a damsel determined to be distressed, and the handsome stranger who reluctantly, and repeatedly, comes to her rescue.

Three Truths and a Lie with Iris

*I LOVE MOVIES, especially action flicks, and without a doubt I have to say that James Bond movies are my all time favourites – of course Sean Connery was the best of all of them!

*When I was on a flight to Australia we had one last stop over in Adelaide. Sitting in the transit lounge I was sick, tired and emotional as I had left Germany for good, when I noticed the guys opposite me in the really awkward bright green/yellow jackets. Made my stomach roll even more. One of the guys came over and asked whether I was ok and offered me a drink. I gratefully denied. Finally arriving in Melbourne and in my husband-to-be’s arms, the guy came  past me and wished me all the best. My husband’s jaw dropped instantly explaining it was Paul Reiffel, a then famous cricket player.

*While living in London I got to shake hands with Princess Diana when she attended the Premier of “Silence of the Lambs”.

*A fortune teller had told me that I would end up living in a place where “everything is up-side-down”. J

Three Truth's and a Lie with Lisa Orchard

Lisa Orchard is up this week :) Can you guess her big fat lie?

When Lisa Orchard was a tween she had to go to religion classes.  After a break, two of her classmates hid under the teacher’s desk. When the teacher took his position at the chalk board and was about to resume his lecture, one of the student’s hidden under the desk called out in a booming voice, “Mr. Hause, this is God.” Mr. Hause grew very flustered and looked above and then around the room. Needless to say he wasn’t happy with the students, but it was a very funny incident in religion class.

When Lisa Orchard was a teen she snuck out of her bedroom window at midnight with her best friend Linda and was caught roaming the streets of her small town by the cops. She told them that they were looking for her dog and they believed her. They said that they had just seen a dog like she had described and told her they’d be on the look-out for him. Then drove away.

When Lisa Orchard was a tween she used to ride down town on her skateboard along with her friends. They’d all wear their Rocky Balboa T-shirts and go to the Tastee Freez and get Cokes and French Fries.

When Lisa Orchard was a tween she wanted to be a Roller Derby Queen and stayed up nights researching the possibility.

Three Truths and a Lie with Kim Bowman

Kim Bowman lives in Indiana, where she was born and raised. For the past thirteen years, she has been married to her best friend, Tony. She has four wonderful, awesome children. Three she was lucky enough to inherit from her husband and one she was given by the grace of God. They live on a small farm with two of their four kids, five horses, and Lex the lovable pit bull. Although she has notebooks full of songs, poems, and short stories she has composed, it wasn’t until she started doing technical writing for her job that she really got the bug and decided to take her English professor’s advice and write novels for a living.

Let's see if you can guess Kim's big fat fib :)

When we were kids, my sister and I set our bed on fire smoking cigarettes, nearly burning the house down.

I once had a groundhog chew my wiring harness to shreds and build a nest on my engine in my car.

When we were kids, I kicked my sister in the mouth, knocking out her four front teeth.

I used to give horseback riding lessons to pro-basketball player Calbert Cheaney.
