My Town in Three Photos - Montreal

by Michele Barrow-Belisle

While Montreal Quebec Canada wasn't where I was born, it was a  city where I spent 16 years of my life, attended university, met and married my husband, and gave birth to our son. So although I'm back in my hometown of London, Montreal will always have a special place in my heart and feel like home to me.

It's a city full of beauty and history and romance. The ideal setting for any author looking for a creative environment, and I look back fondly on my years spent there. A place where your imagination runs free, fuelled by a spectacular sight at every turn. From the bustle of downtown, to the splendor of the St.Lawrence River, to the majesty of Mount Royal, to the quaint cobblestone side streets... it radiates magic. I can hardly wait until the next time I get to step into this city and see what new adventures await, on paper and in life!
